Governing Body

Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology is unique! Situated in the heart of the biomedical campus, surrounded by world leading academic and commercial organisations, it is an educational establishment that provides opportunities unlike any other for the scientists and technologists of the future.

I am a chartered biologist with an MPhil in molecular pathology working as a senior executive at MedImmune. This is a global biotechnology company which already has strong links to Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology. I am a fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and the Institute of Directors. It is this wealth of experience which I bring to the Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology. I am passionate about linking academic and vocational education through the focus of project based learning.

In my role as Chair of Governors, I work with a team of governing body members and sponsors to develop the academy’s strategy and vision, enhance the college environment and strengthen the links with employers. Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology is now an integral part of the success of the biomedical campus, ‘delivering future scientists’ to the industry.
